Forbes has been following the same stories for more than a century: people with a vision who manage to turn it into a business, no matter where they start from. This was the message Kerry Lauerman, Executive Editor at Forbes, delivered as he opened the third edition of Forbes Business Bridges, organized by Forbes Romania at Forbes on Fifth in New York.

“Those are the stories we want to tell. It’s the stories of people with visions, who come up with ideas, who make it happen, and make it work, no matter where they come from,” Kerry Lauerman said.

The meeting comes, he acknowledged, at a more challenging moment than ever. But the room confirmed that it is also one full of opportunity. “It’s an incredibly thrilling time that I see reflected really well in the people here, leaders from banking and finance to AI and real estate,” the Forbes executive editor said.

Lauerman noted that the newsroom has recently been following closely the wave of new billionaires and the stories of self-made entrepreneurs. “It’s with that spirit: bridge building, celebrating each other’s traditions, embracing exciting new challenges,” Kerry Lauerman said.
